Dutchtown Farms is owned and operated by Stephen and Anne Kent and their children. It began as a small alpaca breeding farm in High Woods, N.Y. In July of 2004 we relocated our farm and family to Hohenwald, Tennessee. Hohenwald is in Lewis County, named for Meriwether Lewis of Lewis and Clark fame. It is about 75 miles southwest of Nashville, in the Middle Tennessee Region. In December of 2004 we added horses to our program. We breed fine registered Tennessee Walking Horses and had our first foal in June of 2005, a gorgeous, blue-eyed spotted filly. In June, 2006 Tennessee Fainting goats became another breeding venue of Dutchtown Farms. We offer alpaca and llama fiber for sale as well as 100% alpaca yarn. In addition we have a wide variety of alpaca clothing including sweaters, mittens, gloves, hats, socks and more for sale. Additionally we offer alpaca related novelties such as carved wooden alpaca pens, mouse pads, signs and other items. Dutchtown Farms also offers a full line of equine novelties and Western collectables including many children’s items. This merchandise is available for purchase online or at our farm store here in Lewis County. In the future we hope to add many new products as well as a mill for transforming alpaca and llama fiber into yarn. We welcome inquiries regarding the alpaca industry and will do our best to answer any questions regarding alpacas, llamas and Tennessee Walking Horses.
